Luxury Marketing 101 is the end product of an in-depth exploration into the luxury world. Focusing specifically on how luxury is marketed, the base of this capstone comes from relevant and current research on marketing and persuasion techniques. Having a successful luxury product in the real world depends on multiple internal and external factors, so Luxury Marketing 101 chooses to take a satirical approach outlining how one would hypothetically “fake it” using marketing tools. Accompanying each chapter will be an illustration representing a rebranded version of an every-day household product in the style of a luxury fashion design house. This lets the reader make a visual connection and develop an understanding of how difficult it would be to enter the luxury world, and perhaps impossible for some existing brands or products to do so. A digital version of the book with additional information will also be displayed on an iPad presenting an interactive learning experience.
