Embrace Simplicity is a fashion editorial spread inspired in Paolo Roversi’s technique and the way he considers his photography more about subtraction than addition. “It looks like an absence, but in fact when there is this emptiness I think the interior beauty comes out.” P.R.
My series of fashion images were created using soft light from one side of the model’s face, focusing on her eyes, creating an engaging relation with the audience. The colours used in the clothing are supposed to create contrast with her eyes and help them stand out. Embrace Simplicity’s fashion inspiration was Fendi and Michael Kors Fall -2015 Ready-to-wear collections regarding shapes and silhouettes as well as colour palettes. I chose to have the model with easy makeup and an easy hairstyle so her face and eyes would be the main focus, keeping everything else simple and clean, to create a natural beauty look.
