After graduating from Ryerson in 1979, I worked as a designer in multiple sectors of the Fashion industry. My experience includes women's sportwear, fur coats, doll clothes, lingerie, eveningwear, menswear, accessories, and bridal wear. I started to teach in 1985, and earned a MA in Fashion Design in 2012 with a research focus on developing functional and assistive for children with disabilities.

Two posters at ITAA: "Hockey lights in Canada" presented a interactive children's helmet and jersey design with visual and audible warning systems for injury prevention; "Waterproof swimwear for children with Cerebral Palsy", presented a prototype and case study for therapeutic design.
